Turn me on

A movie, made in 2008 and 2009, consisting of one
shot-with-a-camera video and with, in the end, more than
20 animations.

There are two versions of this video:
one with a light border around it and one with a separate video
consisting of only the colours of light that lighten the room in which
the "record" video is projected (video projector or television set).

The sound that accompanies this video is a (sort of minimal)
composition of the continuous ticking of the record player stylus
against the centre of the record (several records).
See also the Sound page for a live sound and video installation
version of this video.

The version you can watch here (click on the pic), which is only a
5 minute 56 (11 mb) excerpt, has been exhibited at the (H)ear XL
exhibition at the KUS Gallery in Heerlen, from April 17th till May
24th 2009.
It has been exhibited again from 13 December 2009 till 17 January
2010 at Schunk Heerlen (NL), during the Salon Parkstad exhibition.

Running time of the complete video is 33 minutes 20 seconds.
